NetPhone works over slow connections (it is optimised for a 14.4KBPS modem). At a sampling rate of 10,000 samples per second the sound quality isn't wonderful, but it is understandable. The free demo version of NetPhone can be used for one week and limits you to one outgoing call of 90 seconds duration in each session. Incoming calls are not subject to any time limits.

Web Crossing runs on the same machine as your existing Web server. Your Web server will continue to run normally - but will automatically route all conferencing requests to Web Crossing using standard protocols (Apple CGI).
Anyone with a Web browser and network access can use your conference. You control access to your site, so you can open it to the whole Internet, or just to people that you authorise. Conferences are not "real-time-chat" they are more like organized E-mail, with full HTML formatting.
